Bandung, the capital of West Java province, is located about 180 kilometres southeast of Jakarta. Bandung is also nicknamed as Kota Kembang, literally meaning the Flower City since Bandung used to have a lot of flowers.
Things have changed, in fact a lot! after my last trip 9 years back (2001)!
I can’t believe it too. It’s like Dejavu with Cihampelas “Jeans street”, Ciumbeluit “UNPAR”, Dago and Setiabudi “Outlet”.
The angkot “public transport” is still the same and even worse. Tangkuban perahu is a must! not to mention the shopping too! Remember to emerge yourselves at “Rumah Mode” for quick shop.
What to Eat:
Bakso Tahu / Siomay is a steamed meat with/without tofu.
Batagor is similar to bakso tahu/siomay but it is fried instead of being steamed
The Peak Restaurant is a dining place with superb location around the mountains.
Gepuk is a sliced fried beef (a bit oily and not for cholesterol concern fellow)
