I’m not too sure where to begin with Kuala Lumpur as 10 lines might be too short to end. It is definitely a town with the most exciting after-10-pm-life in the region. Traffic jam, millions of neon lights, the mushroom expansion of mamak stalls (food outlets run by Indian Muslims) make it much more hyped up!
Not to elaborate further, Pacific Regency is the best stay. A decent 90’s room with a kitchen to cook is a plus. If you are expecting an urban-modern-retro-chic suite, than you are in the wrong place. Nothing to flaunt about the room but I have a lot to say about the much talked “Luna Bar”. Located on the 34th floor with a stunning view of Twin Tower in front and KL Tower at the back, gives “Luna Bar” extra edge. And not to mention the DJ booth, complete with a swimming pool to pamper yourselves with. I love the playlist on the ladies night too, leggy girls anyone? Remember to reserve the sofa seat on the side ways; it’s the best spot for cocktails sipping, breezy evening relaxing and breathtaking skyscrapers sighting. Don’t be shocked if can’t get in without a reservation on the weekends!
How to spend your time wisely in Luna:
- For swimming: 4 – 6pm
- For photography: 6 – 7pm
- For cocktails: 8 – 10pm
- For dancing: above 11pm
- For skyscrapers: before 12 midnight (most of the building will have its light off after that)
Verdict: Ok with the room, nothing to complain when it’s free. And Luna Bar is one heck of the best roof top bars in the region.
Thanks to Mr AZ for driving me around KL and show me some “interesting “hang out places!
