Riyadh with the “Two Towers”, it’s not “Lord of the Rings”!

In a city that can get sweltering heat up to 50C in summer, the easiest icons to spot might be the two towers: Kingdom Tower and Al Faisaliah. If you only have time for one tower, the summary below might help you to decide.

  Kingdom Tower Al Faisaliah Center
Completion 2002 2000
Height 302m 267m
What’s inside? Office, residential, shopping malls and Four Seasons Hotel Office and restaurant
Whats unique? A necklace-shape-hole at the top of the building A giant gold color globe at the top of the building
Viewing Deck? 56m long skybridge for indoor city viewing Outdoor city viewing deck just below the giant globe
Cost SAR 35 SAR 35

Personally, for aesthetic design, I would give Kingdom Tower a full mark. But for city viewing purpose, I would give Al Faisaliah an extra edge. Happy choosing!
