Business Class: Is It Just a Gimmick?

As a budget traveler, flying in business class in one of the most prestigious airlines in the world has never quite struck my mind. Not that I don’t want the experience, but simply because I won’t be able to afford the rest of my trips. Lucky for me, I came across some of the best opportunities in life and I feel truly blessed for that.

To cut the story short, I was awarded with 12 hours of “pleasurable misery” from San Francisco all the way through to Hong Kong in Cathay Pacific’s Skytrax – World’s Best Business Class 2012. O yes, bittersweet it is, bittered by the long flight, but it’s all sweetened by the lavishing 5-star experience! The 2-meter extendable fully flatbed provides absolute comfort on board like never before, and the 15.4-inch TV comes with seemingly endless selection of videos and audios! It is just too extravagant on this 777 Boeing aircraft.

To complement the seat, my fine dining experience is even more beautiful with the menu below:

Grilled USDA Beef Tenderloin with Cabernet Sauce, Potato and Baby Spinach (My Pick!)

I guess the cabin crew must have noticed my skinny built and wondered if I’m ever under-nourished. So double serving it is, for almost every course! At the end of my flight, I couldn’t get more impressed with flight attendants who practice excellent services straight from the heart. I have to agree with Cathay Pacific: “People. They make an airline.”!
