For most traveler, witnessing the cherry blossoms in Japan is almost mandatory. During the early part of April, the flow of tourists can be overwhelming causing the hike in prices, from air tickets to the accommodations. For those who have missed the period, worry no more as there is an amazing festival to partake held from mid April through early June, that is the Fuji Shibazakura Festival.
The view of the pink to purple shades of flowers with Mt Fuji as the setting of the background is just magnificent, post card worthy kind of magnificence. I suggest to visit the park around mid May as it is the maturity of bloom. Picture a field filled with 6 different varieties spreading elegantly on 2 hectares of land is simply breath taking. Though the park maybe jam-packed, the panoramic view is truly rewarding.
Getting There:
From Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Station by JR Chuo Line – 2 hours
From Kawaguchiko Station to Fuji Shibazakura by “Shibazakura Liner” bus – 30 minutes
Oh My God! That’s beautiful carpet, so fresh 🙂
Indeed Rifqy! 🙂 🙂
