Munich is a treasure trove of sights and attractions where one can spend days just exploring architectural masterpieces the likes of Neues Rathaus and Frauenkirche. Thanks to Munich’s pedestrian-friendly City Centre and extensive metro system, it is now possible to experience the very best of Munich’s rich cultural heritage in just 2 days.
Though this is my maiden trip to Germany’s third largest city, Munich has swiftly become one of my personal favourites. A perfect blend of classic history and modern city life, Munich is also the host to frequent festivals, the most renowned of which is the legendary Oktoberfest where the world converges in Munich for endless beers and splendid festivities.
To sum it up, here are the few must-see spots in Munich!
Marienplatz
Ahnengalerie Room of Munich Residenz
BMW Welt
Frauenkirche Church
Cuvillies Theater
Antiquarium Room of Munich Residenz
Nymphenburg Palace
Allianz Arena
There is a political party’s office at Marienplatz, and when I was there I thought it was a museum, so I went in. As soon as I realized it was actually an office, I looked for the exit and found this door. I pushed the handle and triggered the alarm. Wrong door. I looked for another one and managed to get out of the building. I could still hear the alarm as I walked away. 🙂 Btw when I was in Munich the BMW Welt was still under construction. I guess I have to return!
Haha, that’s comical! 😛 😛 I think Munich has changed a lot over the past few years, and to a better ones! you really need to plan your Europe trip soon again! 🙂
How’s was the hunting?

this is sad to say, but from all of these places in munich, i have only been to the bmw and allianz arena. i was traveling with family, and they have no interest in museums and historical buildings. and we went to bmw for my dad, and the allianz arena only because my bro-in-law is a fan and wanted to get something a pic there. sigh…
What?? Hmmmm, there is always a reason to go back again then. I’m not very into history but their architecture just blew me away.

i shall remember to check them out the next time i’m in munich again.
