When you have a day of layover in a destination as dynamic as Tokyo, you can rest assured that it will be 24 hours well spent. Indeed, a journey into the iconic capital of Japan has so much to offer. From austere Shinto shrines to Zen gardens to neon-lit streets teeming with sleek gadgets and delicious foods, Tokyo is a marvelous medley that has every visitor wanting more. For me, I decided to roam around to experience this sprawling metropolis at random since I did not have a specific agenda. Here are the sights and sounds that greeted me on my 1-day adventure!
